Model Answer 1:

A recent situation that made me angry was getting stuck in a traffic jam on the way to meet some friends. It was last Sunday lunchtime, and I didn’t expect there to be much traffic; people don’t work on Sundays, so the roads aren’t usually very busy.

Everything was going well until suddenly I saw a queue of cars on the road in front of me. I had no choice but to join the queue and wait to get past whatever was causing the delay. It turned out that it was caused by some roadworks, and it took me an extra 30 minutes to get past them.

Getting stuck in traffic congestion doesn’t usually make me angry, but this time it did, mainly because I wasn’t expecting it and I knew that my friends were waiting to meet me for lunch. I felt frustrated and powerless because there was nothing I could do to change the situation, and I had no idea how long I would be sitting there waiting. When I finally saw the reason for the congestion, I was relieved that I was close to getting past the roadworks, but I still felt a bit stressed knowing that I was half an hour late.

Model Answer 2:

I do not usually get angry for small reasons and not one of the short-tempered persons who get angry easily for silly reasons. Yet I got very angry with my friends and I was so furious that I did not talk to them for some days.

This occurred when I was in 7th semester in my university probably in the year 2010. I had a friend named Rummel who invited me and Stephen to visit his hometown after the term final. Three of us made our plan final and fixed the date for our journey. Since we were not in the same university, we stayed at different places of the city. 3 days before the scheduled date of our journey I called both of them from a local phone booth to be confirmed if the plan is still valid or not. They both told me they are looking forward to the visit and Rummel told me that he has already told his parents and relatives about our visit.
I called my home that I will visit my friend’s hometown and that’s why my visit to them would be a bit delayed. They wished me a safe and pleasant journey.  I got my bags packed the night before our journey and as planned we would meet at the city station at 9.00 am. We planned to go there by train as we thought train journey would be more enjoyable than the bus journey.
In the morning of the due date, I wake up early and checked if I have packed all the right stuff or not. Then I picked a taxi and went to the station at 7.30 am. I looked for my friends and found they are yet to come. Rummel was supposed to buy the train tickets and I could not find any one of them. I looked for them in every place of the station and to my dismay, they were nowhere to be found. In the meantime, I hear that the clock is ticking to announce that it is 10:00 am and I found 2/3 trains already departed. Initially, I was annoyed and when it was 11.30 am I got seriously frustrated and angry. I felt like a stupid and all of my anger started to grow up. I was so angry that I did not call my friends. I sat at the station for another 30 minutes to pacify my anger and then took a taxi to return home.
They tried to call me to explain the reason they could not show up that morning and almost after 2 weeks they came to my room and explained that due to Stephen’s mother’s sudden and unexpected illness, he had to leave for his hometown that morning. They both thought that the other one has informed me about the cancellation of our tour. I told them that we are even now and I have no complaints about what happened that day.

Model Answer 3:

Let me tell you about the recent situation that made me angry. A couple of weeks ago, I was planning to go on a business trip by airplane to another city. But I got a bit nervous and didn’t sleep well that night. So the next morning I woke up late at about 9:00, but my airplane departed at 11:00. It was really urgent because there was about one-hour driving to the airport.

In a great hurry, I took a taxi and told the driver to drive as fast as possible. But unfortunately as soon as we got to the express way to the airport, we found ourselves get stuck in the heavy traffic congestion. We moved so slowly that I got totally mad. I was afraid of missing the airplane to meet my clients.

I repeated asking the driver to move fast but he told me there was really nothing he could do about it. Finally it turned out that it was caused by two crashed cars in one lane, and it took me an extra 30 minutes to get past them and nearly missed the flight.

I felt frustrated and powerless because there was nothing I could do to change the situation, and I had no idea how long I would be sitting there waiting. When I finally saw the reason for the congestion, I was feeling angry towards the two drivers who were so careless and did the car accident which wasted my time. If I missed the plane that day unfortunately, there were a huge loss both to my company and me.

Model Answer 5:

A recent situation that made me angry when I was playing basketball with my friends and other people that we don’t know. We just
met our playmates in the recreational center.
While we were playing 5 on 5 basketball game, there was one guy in the other team who was taking the game seriously even though it was not necessary and we would not get anything but just a free exercise. He was getting too physical by hitting hard our hands when one of us had the ball and about to shoot. Also, whenever I stood too close to him he nudged me with his elbow and pushed me back. Normally, in a friendly game, you don’t play violently. when you hurt somebody whether it is intentionally or not, you would say sorry. But in his part, I never heard him apologized which was really unusual to see for a friendly game.

Typically, I don’t play basketball aggressively but I was so upset with him and it ruined my game to the point I was hitting hard his hand.every time he got the ball. And I didn’t say sorry too after I hurt him. Although we lost the game, I didn’t say thank you to him at the end of the game for playing sports with us. Instead, I just ignored him but I shook hands with his teammates and said thank you for giving us a great game. Next time, I definitely would not play basketball with this guy to avoid confrontation with him that could likely trigger a fight.
