The natural resources such as oil, forests and fresh water are being consumed at an alarming rate.
What problems does it cause? How can we solve these problems?
Same Topic – Nowadays there is a rapid increase in the use of natural resources such as oil, forest and fresh water. What dangers does it bring? What are the possible solutions to address these issues?

Sample Answer 1:
The time has come for international soul-searching about the environment. The
industrial revolution has changed forever the relation between humanity and nature.
In this essay I intend to explore the problems caused by the increased consumption of
oil, forests and fresh water, and suggest some solutions.
Talking about oil first; it is well known that it is non-renewable and so will finish very
soon. Pollution is another problem that is caused by the use of oil. Oil is used in
vehicles, industries and homes. Simple measures can be taken to lessen its use. At
individual level we can use more public transport; we can make lifestyle changes and
use fewer luxuries. At government level, people can be educated. More effort can be
done to research alternate sources of energy.
Secondly, water, especially fresh water, is another big area of concern. There can be
no life without water. Water is the most precious commodity today. Fresh water
resources are depleting fast. At individual level we should use water conservatively
and recycle water wherever possible. At government level desalination plants can be
set. Strict laws can be enforced for industries against pollution of fresh water by
effluents.
Finally, because of deforestation, many animals and plants, which provides us food,
medicine and other valuable products, are facing extinction. We have less bio-diversity
also. Moreover, when trees are cut, the soil is exposed to heavy rain and so is washed
away. The soil also becomes infertile. Also, trees absorb carbon-dioxide, which causes
global warming because of the increase of greenhouse gases. Afforestation should be
promoted as a solution. If each one of us plants a tree and nurtures it for few months,
then the day is not far when we shall have greenery all over.
In conclusion, I would like to reiterate that oil, forests and fresh water are very
necessary if we have to survive. So we should use them judiciously else our future is
bleak.

With the ever increasing population in the world and rapid industrial growth we are facing a thorny issue in these days and the time has come for us to address it properly in order to ensure our very existence. The consumption of oil, trees and fresh water is ever growing and though those resources are quite limited and non renewable in many case, we have taken very few steps to prevent the over use of those invaluable resources. As a result catastrophic outcomes are eminent and we should take every possible measure to solve these problems.
First, reservation of oil and fresh water is not limitless and over consumption of these two resources will cause scarcity of natural resources. When the oil reservation will go down, nations will fight over it and factories, machines and cars will be useless without oil. Moreover over use of oil causes uncontrollable air pollution and catastrophic effect like global warming and climate change which threaten our very existence on the earth. Fresh water is another big area of concern as it is a critical issue for the living organism and less than 3% water reservation on the earth is fresh water. Fresh water resources are depleting fast and this will cause our living on the earth impossible. Undoubtedly deforestation is the reason many species are becoming extinct and our environment is getting polluted. As most countries are trying to improve their economic conditions through industrialization, we are imposing an unbearable burden to the natural ecosystem by consuming importation natural resources. This increasing rate of natural resources consumption causes scarcity of natural resources, burden to the ecosystem, air pollution, water pollution, soil erosion, natural unbalance, extinction of many species, water contamination, outbreak of diseases and finally threaten our existence.
All nations and every individual should put their best effort to combat this problem. It is a global issue and hence should be addressed globally. Moreover, every government should ensure adequate legislations and strict laws to prevent the over consumption of important natural resources. Factories, mills and industries should not be allowed to contaminate waters and should be severely fined if found guilty. Ownership of cars should be restricted and prices of oil should be increased. Strict monitoring of logging activity should be in place and plantation of trees should be encouraged. Along with government’s initiatives, individual effort to address this problem should also be in place. We should use water conservatively and use our car less. Gardening and plantation should be a mandatory part for building a new house. The individual effort on saving our planet and future generation will play a key role to address these problems. Finally, more researches are required to introduce better water recycling machines, eco friendly vehicles and alternative sources of energy.
In conclusion, I would reiterate that important natural resources like water, oil, trees should not be over exploited and individual and government initiatives can reduce the problems caused by it to a great extent. If we fail to do that, the consequence would be too severe to control.
Model Answer 3:
The world is becoming hungrier for resources. We have already destroyed much of the forest cover and depleted fresh water sources. Oil wells are drying up. In my opinion, excessive consumption of natural resources will have long lasting consequences that will even endanger our existence on this planet.
Human population increased rapidly over the last few decades. Increasing population puts strain on natural resources like forests. Forests are being cleared to build homes and factories. Trees are being cut down to build furniture. Unfortunately, deforestation leads to several problems like increase in atmospheric temperature, droughts and soil erosion. When temperature rises people buy air conditioners. This does not address the issue. In fact, some chemicals released by refrigerators and air conditioners add to global warming.
Depleting oil resources can wreak havoc with global economy. Oil is the biggest source of energy for the developed and developing world. Over 90 percent of vehicles run on petrol and diesel. If oil disappears one day, people will not be able to travel. All transportation activities will come to a stop and people will not have access to essential commodities.
Fresh water is another resource that is fast becoming unavailable. It is impossible to survive without fresh water. It is true that plenty of water is available in the oceans, but ocean water cannot be used for drinking. While it is possible to desalinate ocean water, this process requires a great deal of energy.
To conclude depleting natural resources are the biggest problem we face today. The only possible solution is to invest in renewable energy sources. We also need to learn to use resources judiciously. Even simple acts like planting trees and saving rain water will make a great difference.

In rencent years,many countries are facing a thorny issue that economy has been developing in a striking rate,with a consequent damage on natural environment.Although serious problems have arisen as a result of this,there are solutions and the state should raise environmental awareness amongest the general piblic.
One of the main consequences of this phenomenon is the scarcity of natural resources.There is no doubt that deforestation,dissipation and coastal waters imposing a burden on ecosystem,and most countries put the economy and technology on the most significant place rather than considering the ‘earth’.In order to achieve the maximum production and profit,factories and industries exploit resources excessively regardless of the disasters they may cause.Another major result is the ecological unbalance,so it can not recover its situaion timely.For example,there ae much pollutions,sewage and used water contaminated river everday,and industrial waste contain small amounts of rodiactive materials which are extremely detrimental for economical balance and our health.So,it not only attributes to resources shortage,but also causes huge catastrophes such as oil erosion,global climate change and the death of the forests in the world.
It is important that action is taken to combat these problems.Governments should ensure that adequate legislation and controls are in place that will prevent the overuse of natural resources,such as special environmental protection standard and strict laws.Individuals also have a part to play,they need to introspect and supervise their activities,thereby they might know what consequences would happen and how to avoild these damage on environment.Industries and companies must also attach importance to nature;for instance,there are many techinical equipment and advanced skills can be used on economic development which not only improve the effeciency on works and can make the maxumun production,but also save materials.All in all,no matter what situations countris are exist in,we should protect our raw materials.
To conclude,I would have to say tht economy and environment are not completely contradictory,but an interactive relationship.What we should do is that maintain a balance betwee them,and any country expoilt the resources immoderately but ignore the consequence should be punished to some extent.
