Sample Answer 1:
The youth of today are generally considered to lack social knowledge and experience
which are of crucial importance in their future development. To solve this problem,
some people suggest that they should undertake a period of voluntary work in the
local community. Personally, I think its pros far outweigh the cons.
Undoubtedly, it can be a win-win approach – that is, it will benefit both the young and
the community enormously if young students and employees do a certain period of
unpaid work. By helping the elderly, the sick and the disabled directly or participating
in charitable activities like raising funds or offering free consultation, young people will
certainly gain and accumulate some valuable first-hand experience and know more
about the society.
Moreover, young people with such experiences are more likely to become the most
motivated ones in academic study or at work, and eventually become responsible
citizens of the society. As far as the community is concerned, it will definitely become
better with so many zealous young volunteers who are ready to help.
However, there may be some disadvantages if the young provide free service helping
people in need. For example, it may conflict with their normal study or work if not
arranged well. Then the result may be not as desirable as what is expected. But I think
this sort of problem can be easily taken care of by meticulous planning by the
authorities.
To conclude, competitiveness of modern life and influence of global culture have
isolated children from neighbourhood. So, such a step would be very beneficial to
make today’s children feel part of the community.

In this day and age, there is an increasing trend of young people participating in voluntary work for their communities. While some people contend that doing community services is a wasteful effort, this essay is written to argue that volunteerism can bring many benefits for the youth.
There can be little doubt that volunteering can be very tiring for young people, especially if it involves a lot of physical works. For example, students in most universities in Vietnam are required to donate a certain amount of their time to help needy people in regional areas to build their houses, roads, bridges and other buildings and facilities. These tasks are very strenuous which can adversely affect students’ physical and psychological health.
Nevertheless, there are many poor communities which are in extreme need of support from other areas. By volunteering their time and efforts, young adults can aid these needy individuals to shake off poverty and achieve better standards of living. This is especially helpful as people from impoverished areas usually cannot afford to pay others to provide the same services that the volunteers offer for free. Furthermore, serving the community is not only beneficial for society but also volunteers, especially their personal development. By participating in various tasks and meeting new people, young individuals can learn how to work and communicate with others more effectively. These skills are transferable across their future careers and occupations.
In the light of the aforementioned facts, it can be concluded that volunteering can bring many advantages to both society and young people. Not only it can help improve communities’ living standards but also allows volunteers to develop necessary skills. Although volunteerism requires lots of time and effort, it is a very rewarding activity for youngsters

It has been suggested by some that all of young people should take part in a period of work without payment and help others in their local community. As far as i am concerned, i believe that this strategy is more advantageous in comparison with its flaws. This will be proved by analysing the benefits brought to young adults and the community as a whole.
To begin with, the young generation can gain a large number of invaluable and practical life skills by engaging these unpaid activities. For instance, young adults are able to obtain communication skills, organisational skills and how to collaborate with others from the process. Skills and working experiences gained through unpaid work are not only an asset to their resume but also enhance the possibility of their employment. Therefore, it is apparent that participating unpaid work is very beneficial for the young people in terms of sharpening their social skills.
Additionally, undertaking unpaid work is not helpful for the young people, but also for the community, which means it can improve the solidarity and stability of the local community. For example, joining in unpaid work can prevent the young people from playing online video games or sitting in front of television, which be helpful to reduce the crime rate of the young people. As a consequence, the local community would become more stable and safe. Thus, the local community also can benefit from unpaid work.
In conclusion, participating unpaid job is not just beneficial for young adults, but also for the community. The young people can gain certain working experiences as well as social skills, meanwhile the local community could be more stable due to this. Therefore, i believe that its merits outweighs its drawbacks. it is recommended that this policy can be adopted shortly.

Many young people work on a volunteer basis, and this can only be beneficial for both the individual and society as a whole. However, I do not agree that we should therefore force all teenagers to do unpaid work.
Most young people are already under enough pressure with their studies, without being given the added responsibility of working in their spare time. School is just as demanding as a full-time job, and teachers expect their students to do homework and exam revision on top of attending lessons every day. When young people do have some free time, we should encourage them to enjoy it with their friends or to spend it doing sports and other leisure activities. They have many years of work ahead of them when they finish their studies.
At the same time, I do not believe that society has anything to gain from obliging young people to do unpaid work. In fact, I would argue that it goes against the values of a free and fair society to force a group of people to do something against their will. Doing this can only lead to resentment amongst young people, who would feel that they were being used, and parents, who would not want to be told how to raise their children. Currently, nobody is forced to volunteer, and this is surely the best system.
In conclusion, teenagers may choose to work for free and help others, but in my opinion we should not make this compulsory.

Governments today encourage young people to do volunteer or unpaid job at communities for a while, which has a positive impact on our society and themselves . some university even take this practice as a basic rule of graduate. i believe this policy has more good than harm.
If young generation spend several hours per week on volunteering work, it can increase the community coherence because those people who receive help may feel satisfied with community and other people who can offer help may be raised the awareness of helping others. for example , young volunteer can take care of the elderly in the community which their children are occupied by work or working at other cities, such as cooking and cleaning the rooms.finishing these housework can help older people live with a comfort environment and also can boost other homes to pay attention to these helpless people , especially when some accidents happen.
If young people work at communities without money , i believe that this process has a great benefit on their work in future, because young adults can learn how to cooperate with other members and acquire useful skills, such as interpersonal skills and practical life skills which can not be learned form university courses. for example , a group of volunteers should separate works and each members should clear their roles throughout the whole process,which can make work efficiently and help more people. this step is also used in the team work in the future.on the other hand, for young people from less well-off families, their family may need their work paid, while volunteer work at communities may waste their time and make those families fall into the fanatical trouble.
In conclusion,unpaid work for help their neighborhood for young people is a suitable way to increase their experience, although it may pose a threat to those deprived families

In recent years, it has become more and more common for societies to encourage and organise young people to work as volunteers for non-profit organisations and the community. Community service has even been proposed as a requirement for graduation in some middle schools. There is a lot of opposition to “mandatory” volunteer work, a term which seems to be self-contradictory. I agree that the voluntary participation of youths is required, but volunteerism is a preferred option to most youngsters in today’s world.
A fact to support volunteerism is that it allows young people to gain experience and exercise skills, which are beneficial for their performance in the future workplace. In the long term, it upholds a sense of community, rebuilds the cohesionamong members of community, and reduces distrustthat is escalatingbetween people.
Despite those merits of organised volunteer work, participants’ entire willingness should be guaranteed. Otherwise, they would be less willing or likely to commit to their work. Instead of enforcing a policy without consultingyoung people in advance, schools can take another approach, showing youngsters the meaningfulnessof their commitment to the local community. If possible, young adults can be given a range of options so they can choose one that is most helpful for their skill enhancement.
It seems from the above discussion that youngsters should be encouraged to participate in volunteer work, increasing both skills and their awareness of the long-run interest of the community in which they live. If administered well, volunteer work has benefits to both individual workers and the society as a whole.
